A collection of devotional meditations on Christ’s many visits to Bethany. Filled with warm reflections and observations of Jesus and His friendship with Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, and His interactions with them. Bethany appears to have been a favourite resting place for Jesus and His followers when they went up to Jerusalem for the Jewish feasts. It was also the site of one of His greatest miracles--the raising of Lazarus. The author's flowery style may will be welcomed by some and off-putting to others, but there is much to be gained in reading this book, especially because of the sense one gets of the kindly, tenderhearted disposition of Christ toward His people.
