Pastors In Malawi Receive Their First Bible

Weekly Update - November 2024

This week, we have exciting news to share from Pastor Jim and the team in Malawi and Kenya. God is doing amazing things, and we’re so grateful to have you with us on this journey. Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening.

A Long Trip, but Worth It

Pastor Jim and the team arrived safely in Malawi, though the trip was quite a long one. It took him and his companions over 26 hours of travel to get to their destination. But now that they are there, they are seeing how much God is using them to bless the local pastors and communities. They’ll head back home soon, but the work they’ve done will continue to impact lives for a long time.

Pastors Malawi Receive Their First Bible

One of the most exciting parts of this trip has been giving out Bibles to pastors who have never had one before. Imagine being a pastor and not having your own Bible to teach from—that’s been the reality for many in Malawi. But now, many pastors are holding their very first Bible. It’s been an emotional and powerful moment for everyone involved.

In addition to handing out Bibles, Pastor Jim and the team have been holding training sessions for pastors. Some pastors have even been ordained during this trip, which is a big step for them in their ministries.

The People of Malawi

The people in Malawi are known for their kindness, and Pastor Jim has felt that firsthand. The locals have been so welcoming—offering meals, praying together, and sharing in the joy of the gospel. It’s been a beautiful reminder of how God connects us all, no matter where we live.

Of course, not everything has been easy. The weather has been very hot, and there have been some mosquitoes in their rooms. But through it all, Pastor Jim has felt God’s strength and guidance, and the team is staying encouraged and focused on their mission.

The Lasting Impact

Even though the team is nearing the end of their trip, the impact of their work will continue long after they leave. The pastors in Malawi will now have the Bibles and training they need to serve their communities more effectively. These pastors will take what they’ve learned and spread the gospel to many others.

How You Can Help

We’re so thankful for your continued support. Here’s how you can be a part of what God is doing:

  • Pray: Please keep praying for the pastors in Malawi and Kenya as they continue their ministry and grow in their faith.

  • Give: Your donations help provide Bibles and training to pastors who need them.

  • Share: Tell others about the work we’re doing so we can reach even more people with God’s Word.

Thank you for being a part of this ministry. We’ll have more updates for you next week as we continue to see lives changed and hearts touched by God.

Blessings,

The Equipping the Saints International Team and Bibles and Books Ministry
