I Love My Mother

My mother was so kind and good to me. She left her career as a registered nurse and gave her life to our family. If it wasn’t for my mother’s prayers, I know I would not be where I am today. And yet in all of this she wanted me to go. She wanted her children to be successful and love and serve others the same as she had set in her heart to do. She knew God had a plan beyond, that this would all need to become history and with the dawning of each new day I would need to go and walk with God into my destiny.

I realize now she had the same heart towards me as a child that God has for me as an adult. You see when we are birthed in Christ, he wants us to know him and allow him to love and mature us as he gives himself for our life more abundant. But his heart is not for us to stay. But to leave the history of his life on earth and know him as the living presence of the Holy Spirit. He told his disciples, “I will not leave you as orphans I will come to you.”

You see Jesus wants us to go forth from the birth he gave us at the cross and now live in the reality and power of the Holy Spirit. In the dawn of each new day we are to take his love to all the world. To give up our careers like my mother did, to love and serve and further the destiny of others by taking our own cross and obeying our Lord, “Go ye into all the World and teach all nations” and “lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
